CHAMPION OF
BREAKFASTS
Tom
Carter (SA 101, Grand Junction, Colorado) sold the most cases of flour
and juice products during this year’s Breakfast Sale. He was our most
successful Rep during last year’s sale, too. Tom sells a lot of
pancake mix to a chain of five restaurants in his Sales Area, but much
of his success is attributable to demonstrating pancakes and syrup. He
added eight new pancake customers as a result of his demos; some of
those sales were to existing accounts. During his demos, Tom tells the
prospect or customer which restaurants in their area are already using
our pancake mix. Word-of-mouth and referral testimonials are important
considerations for his customers. Even more valuable is the fact that
our product almost always wins head-to-head competitions for taste and
texture. Danny
Jones (SA 78, Bozeman, Montana) sold *** cases, second among all Boyds
Reps. He increased his sales by a couple hundred cases by preparing
information showing his customers their average monthly purchases and
the savings they could realize by purchasing in quantity in advance. His
knowledge of his customers’ usage patterns and needs enabled him to
estimate accurately the volume of breakfast products they would use
during the summer, which is the busy season in Danny’s Sales Area. He
believes the trust and loyalty he has established with his customers
made it possible for him to succeed with that sales strategy. Dave Olson (SA 88, Salt Lake City) and Mike Moulson (SA 84, St. George, Utah) had the third and fourth highest sales. Mike and Howard Turner (SA 72, Idaho Falls) each got 13 new customers, more than any other Boyds Reps. These Reps are the champions of breakfast.
