WILD WEST
FEST AND BOAT RIDE
Boyd
Coffee Company’s anniversary awardees will be honored with a cruise
aboard the Sternwheeler Saturday, May 7. Employees with milestone
anniversaries between January 24 and December 31, 1993, will receive
their service awards during the boat ride. The cruise will feature a
brunch for the awardees, and their spouses or guests, with

members of
the Boyd family and the Management Team. The relaxing two-hour cruise on
the Willamette River offers great views of Portland; it will begin at
10:30 in the morning. The E.A.T. subcommittee
planning the event will provide directions and an itinerary for the
awardees.
Casino
Night for Buckaroos and Buckarettes
Wild
West Casino Night is also Saturday, May 7. Plan for your covered (it’s
May, but this is Oregon) Red Wagon to reach the end of the Oregon Trail
at 7:30. All employees and retirees and their pardners are invited to
the after-dinner party. The hoedown is at the Lloyd Center Red Lion this
year, which offers Red Lion’s renowned hospitality in a more central
location.
We
will be playing casino games with scrip or play money, dancing, rustling
up goodies, and lassoing espresso drinks and cowboy coffee. Alcoholic
beverages are available from the Red Lion saloon. Professional gambling
dealers will host blackjack, roulette, craps, and poker games. The E.A.T.
is planning to have a quieter “corral” area for just saying “howdy"
or shooting the breeze (no firearms, please). Other entertainment is
being planned.

may dress to fit the theme, dress for success, dress up, or just dress
down from your professional attire. You won’t have to gamble on
January weather this year.
