Bell was much better as a Giant than he was the
year before or the year after with other teams.

*career highs
Sanders stands as the only player who was hurt by
PacBell. In his healthiest season, his HR were down. However, his
PacBell season wasn’t much below his established level, and he was 34.

Burks typifies the pattern. His sandwich year in
PacBell was his best of the three. His HR were down, but his 3B were up
(my study shows that PacBell is a great ballpark for 3B) and his BA, OBP,
and SP were all higher in PacBell.
The other players with some comparative data reveal
no proof that PacBell hurts hitters:

season in NY.

Pitchers tend to have more variation in
performance, but no Giant pitcher did better in PacBell than 3Com, and
only one pitcher, Jason Schmidt, was clearly better in PacBell than
elsewhere.
